For I Am a Fox

Remember Being Human

Rooted in Our Ways

Weighed Down but Still Moving

The Greedy May Come to Steal Your Stars, but the Points are Sharp

We Breathe the Same Air from Where Our Ancestors Lay

I Will Grow with the Trees

In my art, I explore my relationship with nature and the environment that surrounds me, using the imagery within to create metaphors and illustrations to use them as tools to narrate my own views and memories. To bring together layers of stories into a bright and whimsical world.

At the heart of my practice is a desire for understanding of my own self, but also embracing what I have found about myself. My ongoing use of foxes in my artwork reflects this ongoing search. Foxes have appeared in my life for as long as I can remember, first as symbols, then as companions, and now as a version of myself. I often imagine them as a stronger, more confident version of myself, or as a way to carry parts of me that feel too complex or vulnerable to express forward.

For a long time, I believed art was simply where I stored the feelings I didn’t know what to do with, but I’ve started to understand something deeper: art is my translation. It’s the way I express thoughts, emotions, and stories that I can’t explain in words. Where language fails me, art steps in. So, I may not think like everyone else. But I create. And that creation is my voice.
