Lyrics:
Only the fool jumps in
Head first there's no win
And you caught me mid-dive
You always find me at the wrong time
The great toss up, me and you
Left me cold in september blue
When you didn't mean to be dry
You said that night, it'd be you and I
Baby we don't need to get into specifics
Cause we both know you couldn't listen
Only your heart would hurt mine
Took a right on a road less traveled
Ended up in flames and gravel
Maybe I should have read the signs
At least I learned how to lie
And I was the insult to injury
Your achilles heel, they all knew me
As the one who pushed you away
They call it fair but I knew no way
But you call me, you want me to stay
Baby we don't need to get into specifics
Cause we both know you couldn't listen
Only your heart would hurt mine
Took a right on a road less traveled
Ended up in flames and gravel
Maybe I should have read the signs
Your signs
They say that our love was true at first sight
She led a warning to put up a fight
Maybe the falling was nice cause it just felt so new
Yet i'm not willing to lose you, baby
Baby we don't need to get into specifics
Cause you already know what i've been thinking
