Kitchen Floor
Audrey Mason
Lyrics:
There comes a time when you will have to choose
Who do you love and who do you lose
And who do you wish you still knew
forever rests on your lips
I got so close to kissing it
but I bit too hard, I broke the promises
I don’t need another suitcase
Full of all my baggage
I drop off at your place
In the morning when I wake up
I’ll be on my way and
move into a new one
I made a mess
On the kitchen floor
In the living room
I’ll be leaving soon
All the things you can’t undo
The static you just can’t remove
All the love you wish you could pursue
Oh I’ll lock the doors and cut my hair
Paint all the walls just to keep it rare
But when I’m done, I’ll move right out of there
How do you win
How do you lose
How do you settle down and never move?
How do you live
How do you learn
How do you love without getting hurt?
How do you live without getting bruised
How do you love with the risk removed
What if I don’t know the way home?
What if I drive forever all alone?
What if I live forever on my own?
