Medicine

timangin

Lyric:

Baby give me wings and watch me fly

To a hill that touches sky

I’ve watched the birds fly in and out

So many times that I’ve lost count

Seasons change and people go

You won’t reap if you don’t sow,

Set aside a peace of mind

And rage against the dying light

Give me a hit of your medicine

Purge my mind and soul of that which ails me

I’m moving on with no hesitance,

So if your back is broke, I’ll carry you

Falling through the dark

Until your words find lightning

So tell me what you want

I’ll promise to find a way around

On our next time ‘round

Give me a hit of your medicine

Purge my mind and soul of that which ails me

I’m moving on with no hesitance

So if your back is broke, I’ll carry you on

Oh, I’ll carry you on

Oh, I’ll carry you on

The Long Island band "timangin" is comprised of three high school juniors: Luca Williams and Eric Cao of Portledge School, NY, and Henry Keogh of Manhasset Secondary School, NY. Though self-described as "Jazz musicians," the band's influences range from early Jazz and blues records to experimental rock to modern pop. Over the course of the pandemic, the trio managed to record a full-length album which they intend to release shortly. The 13-track LP was recorded almost entirely in Williams' basement, with critical contributions made overseas, by Cao, who was self-isolating in China.
